Artist's BiographyTeyana Juanita Abuyuan Llanes (born December 3, 2003), known professionally as Teya Logos, is a teenage transpinay and militant artist-activist screaming and producing hardcore club music from Quezon City, Philippines. Fixated on violence and struggle, Teya creates bloodthirsty music for the gender-oppressed and colonized, smashing together elements of gabber, footwork, noise, and metal with rapid-fire rhythms, distorted bass, and visceral screams. Being introduced to club music as an outsider, her approach to club music is eclectic, often going beyond the bounds of the genre to express herself using any means necessary. Though choosing to remain primarily independent, she has released a critically-acclaimed single titled "Beki Bounce" on UNIZONE, and another single titled "FUCK THE WEST" for the Palestinian charity-compilation "FREE" on Mutants Mixtape. In the past, she has also performed for popular electronic-music events CTM Festival, Club Matryoshka, and Club Quarantine, while having her work and sets featured on major media outlets such as DJ Mag, Mixmag Asia, ABS-CBN, and The Flying Lugaw. Since 2018, Teya has run and is a proud member of the CXD music-community, and works with art-collective New Work City, alongside her twin March A.L., bestfriend Butete HD, and friends Rachel Lilim, acadjmia, Bad Elephant, and Haute Couture. Asides from music, she spends her time as an activist for the National Democratic Movement in the Philippines, and writes about revolutionary feminism and culture.
